We are thrilled to have been listed by Jillian Bolger in the Irish Independent last week as one of ten restaurants and pubs where you can stay overnight in Ireland. The list appeared in the popular Saturday Weekend Magazine and included luminaries such as Lagom in Kenmare and the well-known seafood restaurant The King Sitric in Howth.

It’s true. We really do love dogs and are happy to welcome them to stay; we often have a well behaved dog or two in residence. A weekend in early April took us by surprise though when no less than five handsome and well behaved dogs checked in with their owners. That was totally unprecedented and then we discovered why - they were taking part in the dog show at Roscommon Racecourse.

It was a great celebration of the 50th year of Roscommon’s Easter Parade and also 100 years since the establishment of An Garda Síochána.

What a great start to the season. We’ve just been nominated for the YesChef Awards 2022 run by YesChef magazine which is in every kitchen in the country.

Excitement is building for the return of Roscommon’s 50th Annual Easter Parade this year after a two-year absence. There is lots of fun and entertainment to be expected this year over this two-day Easter festival on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of April.

The Gold Medal Awards have just announced Gleesons Townhouse as a finalist in the 2022 Awards in the Ireland’s Country House and Guest House Experience category. Other finalists in our category include none other than Ballymaloe House and Castle Leslie Estate.
